It is not possible to change the contact type. However, you can create a new contact (either company or person) and assign it to the case.
1. Go to the Contacts page and search for the contact name. Make sure there are no other duplicates.
2. Click the + Contact button at the top right to create a new contact.
In this example, ABC Test Company is saved as a "Person"
2. Identify the contact is a "Person" or "Company". Complete the Contact Type and enter company name then hit Save.
In this example we want ABC Test Company created as a Company.
3. Go back to the Contacts page and find the incorrect contact (e.g. Company, ABC T.) and click to view the contact card.
4. In the Active Cases/Roles section, a list of cases associated with the incorrect contact will be displayed. Click on any of the listed cases to proceed.
5. In the left-hand navigation menu, select Calendar/Contacts. Locate the incorrect contact name in the list and click the pencil icon to enter edit mode.
6. Clear the existing incorrect contact name from the Party search bar, then begin typing the name of the new contact you created. Select Assign.
7. Click Save to finalize your changes. The newly created contact will now be associated with the case.
