DocuSign: Sending via CasePacer & CP Direct

CasePacer allows you to send documents for signature either to new recipients or to existing contacts already associated with a case.

Sending to Existing Contacts


1. Open the Documents in the relevant Case

  1. In the sidebar, click Documents.

  2. The document index will appear.

2. Start a DocuSign Request

  1. Click Send DocuSign.

  2. You will be taken to the Send DocuSign page, which includes:

    • Document Title

    • Email Subject

    • Recipients

    • Documents

    • Select Signatories

3. Enter the Document Title and Email Subject.

4. Add a New Recipient

  1. In the Select Signatories data table, select one or more signatories.
    • Their information automatically appears under the Recipient(s) section - select Parallel Sending  if applicable.

5. Select Document & Send

  1. Select the document to be signed.

  2. Click Send.

6. Prepare the DocuSign Envelope

  1. DocuSign will open in a new browser tab, displaying a preview of the document.
  2. Drag and drop the signature fields onto the document.

  3. Click Send within DocuSign.

You’ll see the confirmation message:
“You have successfully sent out the document … to be signed by the following recipients:”

Sending to New Recipients


1. Open the Documents in the relevant Case

  1. In the sidebar, click Documents.

  2. The document index will appear.

2. Start a DocuSign Request

  1. Click Send DocuSign.

  2. You will be taken to the Send DocuSign page, which includes:

    • Document Title

    • Email Subject

    • Recipients

    • Documents

    • Select Signatories

3. Enter the Document Title and Email Subject.

4. Add New Recipient(s)

  1. In the Recipients section, click + New Recipient.

  2. A new recipient card will appear.

  3. Enter:

    • Full Name (Last Name, First Name)

    • Email Address

5. Select Document & Send

  1. Select the document to be signed.

  2. Click Send.

6. Prepare the DocuSign Envelope

  1. DocuSign will open in a new browser tab, displaying a preview of the document.
  2. Drag and drop the signature fields onto the document.

  3. Click Send within DocuSign.

You’ll see the confirmation message:
“You have successfully sent out the document … to be signed by the following recipients:”

 

NOTE: Recipients can sign DocuSign requests through:

  • Email

  • CP Direct Web

  • CP Direct Mobile App

Once completed, the signed version is automatically added to the Case Documents section.
