Quick Overview of CP: Dashboard, Create a Case and Activity Logs

Accessing the Dashboard: [00:56]


Click on the CasePacer logo at the top left corner of the screen. This will take you to your dashboard.

Using the Dashboard:

      1. The dashboard provides an overview of your tasks, calendar events, and alerts.
      2. Use the dashboard to track your ticklers, upcoming deadlines, and scheduled events.
      3. Click on the different sections of the dashboard to view more details or take action on specific items.
Navigating the Navigation Bar:

    • The navigation bar at the top of the screen is fully clickable and provides quick access to various screens and features.
    • Click on the different options in the navigation bar to access:
      • Cases: Manage your cases, including creating new cases and viewing existing ones.
      • Calendar: View and manage your calendar, including court dates and deadlines.
      • Reports: Generate and view reports related to your cases and activities.
      • Ticklers: Manage your ticklers, including setting reminders and tracking important dates.
      • Contacts: Access and manage your contacts, including clients, opposing counsel, and experts.
      • Settings: Customize your CasePacer settings to suit your preferences.

To create a new case in CasePacer, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the top navigation bar.
  2. Choose "Case" from the options.
  3. Select "Create a Case" from the dropdown menu.

Accessing Activity Logs:

    • Click on the "Activity Log" tab in the top navigation bar of CasePacer.

Creating a New Activity Log:

    • To create a new activity log, click on the "+ Activity Log" button.
    • Enter the details of the activity log, such as the date, time, description, and any other relevant information.
    • Once you have entered all the details, click on the "Save" button to save the activity log.
    • The new activity log will now appear in the list of existing activity logs.

Editing or Deleting an Activity Log:

    • To edit or delete an existing activity log, click on the "Edit"(pencil) or "Delete"(trash can) button next to the activity log in the list.
    • Make the necessary changes and click "Save" to update the activity log or "Delete" to remove it.

    Printing or Exporting Activity Logs:

    • To print or export activity logs, use the print or export options available on the Activities page. Note: When exporting activity logs, the export will be based on the selected page count.
