CP Direct is a mobile application that your plaintiffs can use to communicate with you directly through intelligent forms, allowing your firm to save time and manage cases as efficiently as possible.
Through the app, clients can fill out forms, complete discovery requests, upload documents, and review case updates. CP Direct allows clients to facilitate document signing through DocuSign, update treatment history, and send in in-app messaging with law firms on the go.
Features
1. Client Registration/Invite
To get started, your firm will need to send an initial invitation to the client to sign in to the client portal. To send the invite:
Navigate to to CP Direct > Users and Progress and enter the client’s email.Your client will be prompted an email to set their password and complete the registration. The link is only valid for 7 days. If more than 7 days has passed, client will need to request a new invitation link.

After the client successfully completes their registration, the status of your invitation will update to Accepted.
Once your client has successfully signed in, they can easily complete forms, send messages, upload documents, and update their treatment history.
Bulk Invite
You also have the option to send invitations in bulk. To do this, click on the dropdown menu located near your username in the top right corner and select Settings. Then, scroll down to Firm Settings and navigate to CP Direct.
Choose the appropriate Case Type and Case Phase, then click on Send Invite. This action will send invitations to all contacts associated with the selected case type and case name.
2. Forms
Clients can fill out the forms through their mobile app on the go. Once they complete a form, the status will change as Completed. Click on each forms to review client's answers.
3. In-App Messaging
When a client sends a message through the mobile app, you will receive a notification on the message icon in the top-right corner. You’ll also see a notification in the CP Direct tab, alerting you to the new message.
You can respond to the client through the Message tab.
4. Treatment and Updates
All documents uploaded by clients will automatically be stored in the Documents tab, ensuring everything is organized and accessible in one place.
Note: Clients can submit treatment update and medical information notes through the mobile app, but these notes will be visible only in the Treatment Updates tab. To maintain accurate and current medical records, you will need to manually transfer this information to the Medical Provider tab.
5. DocuSign
Let clients securely sign documents electronically, making the process quick and easy within the app. To send a document:
Navigate to the Documents tab and select DocuSign
From here, you will log in to your DocuSign account to select the document that needs the client’s signature. After the document is sent, the client will receive a notification within the app to review and sign it.
Once the client has signed the document, it will be automatically stored in the client’s Documents tab for your records, and it will be marked with a **signed** label for easy identification.
Note: A paid DocuSign account is required for this feature, as it is not compatible with free versions.
