Frame 39955

A unified design system that effortlessly integrates familiar design yet better and forward-looking.

MDL takes what’s classic and familiar then elevates it with fresh elements and modern techniques — bringing focus on content and creating experiences that feel instantly recognizable, intuitive, and effortlessly engaging.

The redesign redefining CasePacer

We believe collaboration means giving users a voice in design. Our goal for this first release wasn’t a full overhaul, but thoughtful updates — delivering what’s needed without the usual friction of change.

Our MDL adapts these three guiding principles.

  1. Natural: It should feel native, familiar, and easy to recognize & understand.
  2. Functional: It should be practical, responsive/quick, and has a clear flow.
  3. Modular: It should be smaller, self-contained sections

2. Greater focus on content

An intuitive product experience hinges on organizing content clearly and logically; one that’s easy to understand and follow. It all starts with the right foundations — structured text sizes, readable fonts, and proper color contrast, among other essentials.

On top of that, we also updated our navigation system to ensure access to information is happens fast and straightforward.

This type scale is generated based on the Minor Third type scale ratio (x1.200) creating a balanced and harmonious blend of differentiation between the font sizes.

3. Clean patterns and layouts

One of the tenet of MDL is to organize content in such a way that’s meaningful and predictable hence the introduction of a multi-column layout based on an established understanding how we as a people scan things from a left to right fashion.  Our first release in this series focuses on navigation and indexes; your experience working within  a case won't be a jarring change.  CasePacer seeks first to understand user feedback and then iterate through each module, incorporating our modern design along the way.
